Artist Responds to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” Bill With New NFT Collection

Orlando, FL, USA — In March of 2022, Florida Gov. Ron Desantis signed House bill 1577 creating considerable controversy. The bill restricts school districts from the encouragement of “classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity.” Opponents of the legislation quickly began to classify it as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. In fact, one artist went a step further to create an entire NFT collection, citing it as a method for “change, activism, and social awareness.”

As digital assets continue to grow and evolve, the NFT industry is certainly no exception. With a year-to-year growth rate of over 5000% and $41 billion in global sales at the end of 2021, NFTs are attracting more artists, developers and investors than ever before.
